Excellent.

My heart breaks for all those who endured the torture of being enslaved. I don’t understand how anyone could inflict this on another person. Humans are capable of such evil.

The author talks about how when Africans were sold into slavery, they were a part of disparate groups, there was no black identity. It’s interesting how common identity is formed. Everything is constructed in the social world.

Olivia Also, how racism maintains class inequity/oppression is talked about in the book. Again, everything is connected
