So we've had good mix of world building, political intrigue in the council chamber on High Terra and a visceral depiction of battle on the scorched arth of Ophelia 7. Really enjoying this. I think it's a great first entry into 40K fiction. It helps that I really like the character. On my table top with her Paragon Walkers bodyguard she gets rerolls to hit and rerolls to wound, so she's dangerous!

This is actually bloody good! I've read the Gotrek and Felix novels, but this is my first Warhammer 40k Novel. I expect non-players never touch these, but that's a shame - because they are missing out!
