This is so good and hearing how her sister also doesn’t agree with her affair was good to hear. Jessie has voices of reason but so caught up in the love affair she can’t seem to see past it.
So interesting to read as if Jessie were telling the story herself and not Victoria Murray writing about Jessie years later.

Not Jessie having an affair with the W.E.B Dubois! The way her mom called it and she tried to deny it but a mother always knows. Also a white woman so protective over the NAACP is sending me.
