This is the Illumicrate book for June, and it's looking like maybe I should have skipped this month . . . it could still turn around? Maybe?

Will Watt is doing his best, but there isn't much substance here, sadly. The entire foundation of this character is a miscalculation. I don't think it's possible to have a real villain likable main character without them doing bad things, if they want to be doing bad things (even if they're very bad at it, and just annoying).

Is the author meaning the MC to come off like a buffoon?

Not bad, so far.
