Lobo’s Back #3 -
Is this meant to be a comedy, with Lobo reincarnating as different beings?

What was the point of ‘killing’ Lobo if they were going to bring him back?

I feel like this must have been influenced by Sandman. I had that feeling before but this issue solidified that feeling by having Lobo briefly interact with Death.

Lobo’s Back #2 -
Neither Heaven nor Hell can deal with Lobo. So they decide to reincarnate him…

Though, the manager takes advantage that Lobo didn’t specify exactly what he wanted to be reincarnated as…

So they made him a woman! In the 1940s…

Very different to the first mini-series. I'd think it's more in line with the popular version of the character though.

Lobo’s Back #1 -
The day I read this, I was quite tired so the explosion of colour and shapes and crowding on the page made me really not want to read this.
But I did it!

Lobo is out of funds and is trying to make some cash with his particular skill set.

Then there is this character named Loo, who looks almost exactly like Lobo??

They fight and Loo cuts Lobo in half!

Somehow I missed Lobo’s Back until I was up to another Lobo story.

Because I have this collection, I will read it, even if I might’ve actually wanted to skip the story.

Issue #4 -
Lobo does what he does best; creating chaos and mayhem. This time, he watches as a threat turns a bunch of partygoers against each other.

He has so much fun watching the 'light show', he considers breaking a promise...

Eventually, Lobo delivers Miss Tribb alive to Dox.
Until he says the right words...

This mini-series wasn't the most horrific or graphic I've seen, so that's a bonus.

Issue #3 -
Dox's plan: have Lobo eliminate all these problem groups.

Unfortunately, another group, determined to rid the universe of 'illiteracy', has taken Lobo and Miss Tribb hostage!
They make the mistake of not gassing 'The Man'...

After all he's been through, Lobo wants a break. He tells his boss where he's going… on an unsecure line!

Revel-7 is a party world, with no police!

Issue #2 -
I didn't love the scratchy lining and Dox's face looked VERY different.

Anyway, Lobo is finding his 'prisoner' to be quite unwilling to act as such.

We also see more of the Czairnian's senseless (to us) killing.

A LOT of people are unhappy (to say the least) with Lobo and even with Miss Tribb.

Everyone makes their way to the only free access point into Cairn.
Precisely what Dox wanted…

Issue #1 -
Lobo is MAD someone wrote a biography about him. Before he can find the author, Dox calls to order him to escort a prisoner...

Turns out the prisoner IS the author... and a Czarnian?!
Not a random one either but Lobo's 4th grade teacher!

Dox definitely has something stirring...

I wouldn't say you'd need to read L.E.G.I.O.N. but it'd certainly help.

I totally forgot I had this CE. According to Fandom, this is set after L.E.G.I.O.N. #23 so I hope that’s right…
