Art could've gone the extra mile and redrawn this old comic of his as mice. But I guess that'd have been crazy. Still feels surreal to see humans in the middle of this all of a sudden.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to get a bit of tonal whiplash out of a very mundane, non-dramatic (so far), and non-embellished memoir, just about some guy's life, being told in comic book format with a bunch of cartoon mice. This doesn't even seem to have anything to do with the actual "plot", so the father's right about it maybe being unnecessary. But I'm still glad it got included.
