Rereading the first Haruhi novel in preparation for Tanabata. The first pages were a bit of a drag due to Kyon’s slightly pretentious monologues but once Haruhi appears the story became more interesting. Haruhi is a b**ch and a half but she’s hella entertaining, especially in her dynamic with Kyon constantly bickering with each other.
