David > Status Update

Fellow constant readers, as I continue my quest to reread all of SKs work I've discovered something interesting. I'm on my 17th book (The Talisman) and in 8 of them use the N word often and freely. How did I not remember this, and how was it accepted by an author as big as King? Has anyone else noticed this and many other words used that are far from acceptable now.
