I am not the target audience for this because I keep yelling "Sit down, CHILD!" at these wannabe tough guy assholes who allegedly run the city when they're all of 18. Is this really a fantasy readers have?

Ok, this annoys me. How did she know about the herb/drug/poison, how did she get it, how did she add it to someone's protein shake without him knowing? In Fourth Wing we saw Violet's cunning as she drugged her opponents. This is skipped over entirely. Would have been interesting.

I'm not sure if this book is for me.

I really hope these four boys around Syria aren't Micai's (forgive spelling, listening to audiobook!) future harem, I wouldn't take them back. But from a story structure perspective, they're introduced right at the exact time to indicate they are. Except for the blue-eyed stabby boy? No idea who he is.
