What I find most trying is looking forward to sharing the housework and childcare at the weekend, but ending up having to do it all myself.
claws out as friend says... but well, why are women always tasked with silent jobs and childcare????? Yes, it pisses me off

For the time being, I plan to simply get my life in order and learn some new skills, choosing from what’s available. I’ll prepare myself, like Guri and Gura gathering chestnuts in the forest. Because I never know when I might find my own giant egg.

It dawns on me that I have not been looking after myself. I don’t care about what I put in my mouth or my surroundings, and I treat myself carelessly. Like Kiriyama, but for different reasons, I too have not been living a decent life.

Already I can see myself using Excel like a pro, and for the first time in a long while, I feel slightly excited about something.
reminds me of the time in UK, when I was going to community centre to update my English :D

I do at least own a laptop... or hoplesness of the young Japanese generation that Tomoko represents... but I feel her, I as well think that I don't match ton of the things :D
