it's the way that this book from the very start grabs the reader in. ur not just this being opposite the paper reading the black ink, ur transported into the scene, running alongside Hekate and her mother. It's the way that the emotions are so fucking raw and pure.. like I'm being drowned but also being embraced in a tight warm firm hug
