I doubt this will work... the story has potential but the characters feel stereotypical and so completely flat to me and most of all I'm at a point in my reading life where I have very little patience for fmc that act rashly and childish and can't control their temper, ever.

The plot intrigues me, but this book will have challenges: haven’t been in fantasy mood much this year, am I now? Maybe but I'm not 100% sure;
you know when after reading an amazing book you don’t feel like reading the same genre for a while because it has already peaked?I felt like that after This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, some time has passed and I won't ask this book to be as good but the comparison could kick in

LOLLL yes, I feel like it's almost insulting to women that we're always portrayed this way in romantasy. It shouldn't be as rare as it is to have female leads who are in control of their emotions!!!
