I really like fight descriptions here. Kind of remind me of fighting scenes in FoF.

If Nanchan will ever be a live action drama, Jinglin should be played by Cheng Yi. He excels in playing half-dead characters, which is the state of Jinglin every two pages 😅🫢

Yes, yes, the venerable one wants raspberry jam :D

Monique I was enjoying this translation and then I looked at ftl and saw this line: "A mountain of corpses amidst a sea of blood."
Who looked at this line and thought 'yeah, let's go with "Blood and carnage" It was the same with Art thou ailing. Whole sentences were missing or were made into "summary"

Nel overediting maybe

V.ya That’s kinda butchering the poetic aspect. 😩

I don't get it what's behind these choices. When I was comparing Art thou ailing, official translation maybe really did read more smoothly but I'd still rather have a whole text, not parts missing because it sounds more common??

Nel ud be surprised how much can change in translation

I know, I've been reading exclusively in Slovenian for about 10 years, and when I later read some of these books in english, I was like, is this even the same story and characters???
