Read Chapter Five, last part of part one (The Perfect Warrior). Still wonder where exactly on the timeline this sits, but it’s neat to see how this fits into the larger Heresy plot line. Cool to see old-school depictions of Slanesh stuff.

Read chapter four. I need to speed up. Like the talk about the warrior lodges. The whole thing about the chase for perfection is laid on a little too thick. This is definitely some Warhammer dialogue.

Read Chapter Three. I liked the section, but nothing remarkable. Just another Great Crusade era fight between Astartes and xenos. I wonder how/when this will tie into the wider Heresy, since this is book five. Surprised how little Fulgrim himself has been involved, only in the book for like three pages so far and none in this chapter. Weird gooner section at the end.

Back to regular Heresy books. The writing on this one is kinda mid again but at least the Crusade era is super cool.
