“I reluctantly let go of Ace and make my way to my best friends” is an insane line 🙄

I love how every teen in these books is always like “I’m gonna apply to this school (usually an Ivy League) and study this and that’s my plan and my dream, mom and dad” but like… there’s no guarantee you’ll even be accepted 🤣🤣 pick some safety schools too!!!

All this talk of her being a lionheart and him writing poetry about it and making her a playlist called lionheart but… NO MENTION OF THE DEMI LOVATO SONG LIONHEART???? Massively missed opportunity

I know he means well but there’s seriously no say he has in this situation when he’s a white, rich boy and she’s an immigrant child with VERY traditional parents. He’ll never get it, and it isn’t always as simple as “standing up for yourself”

We’re acting like his brother is a bizarre a-hole who’s taking things out on Ace but like… Ace is doing the same thing. You can’t act affronted for him when he’s literally telling you that he would do stuff his brother would retaliate against. They’re BOTH in the wrong, not only the bro just because you guys are dating now

As a person who also has anxiety, lying to your teachers face about a bad student because you don’t want to disappoint her is INSANE and only MORE anxiety inducing than just coming clean
