I hate all of these characters. This book is so messy

This is painful. The opposite of a labor of love. Pushing past this dnf is a labor of spite

Ah damn, Messer is the only one I liked.

I do not for a second understand the dynamic between Friedrich and Jovie.

Zero forgiveness arc for the deception and betrayal. Make it make sense

I dislike everything about this book so much, I forgot I hadn't finished it yet until I was listening to a podcast reviewing my metalslinger in which they referenced the author indicated jovies story was only a duology and I couldn't remember how it wrapped based on what I was reading.

And that's because I put the book down with an eyeroll and forgot to continue

All of these characters suck. I so dislike the two mcs

I think I absolutely hate this book. Ughhhhh

Do I care about any of these characters? Ugh
