This chapter is called “Gilbert and Anne Disagree”. I wonder what that could mean 🤔 We finally got a look inside Gilbert’s head abd he’s thinking about how ugly early spring is. Maybe THATS the thing they disagree on since Anne loves the spring so much. He’s also making up stories about a crow he saw 😭😭

I want Leslie and the writer guy to fall in love. Anne’s descriptions of her are so so gorgeous

I wish they would just kill Leslie’s husband and be done with him 😒 That fat seal is ruining everything. Captain Jim shouldn’t have ever brought him home 😒

"I envy Anne," said Leslie suddenly and fiercely, "and I'd envy her even if she had died! She was a mother for one beautiful day. I'd gladly give my life for that!" Omg SHUT UP LESLIE!!! What have they been brainwashing women to believe?? This girl thinks that being a mother for one day is worth losing your life over … Everything Anne’s had to endure was a BURDEN not a blessing 😡 Just for 1 hr with her child!

Nooo Anne my poor baby 😞 “The Lord has given and the Lord has taken away” They’re already trying to make her feel better 😡 Let her sit with her sadness a bit. I can’t believe she went through all of that in such a short amount of time. I wish we would’ve seen how her life was when she was pregnant instead of just skipping to the baby being born.

I wish that this scene could just be of Anne and Gilbert 😪 Especially since I think he was the one delivering the baby. They never get any moments where it’s just the two of them 😞 I’m sorry Marilla but I do NOT want to hear you talk about how it’s “part of gods plan” if the baby dies. And who is this Susan maid girl who is immediately getting to business making breakfast?? I can’t believe it.

I am SO shook right now… I was just appreciating the nature descriptions of the cherry blossoms when they started describing some sort of tense medical situation?? I thought it was about that aunt lady but then they started calling it a darling lamb so I was like oh ok it’s one of their farm animals. But THEN they said Anne might be hurt?!?! Hello??? Did Anne have a kid?? How many chapters (hehe) did I miss?!?!

"How is poor old Aunt Mandy tonight:" asked Miss Cornelia. Susan sighed.
"Very poorly-very poorly, Cornelia. I am afraid she will soon be in heaven, poor thing!"
Captain Jim and Gilbert looked at each other. Then they suddenly rose and went out.
"There are times," said Captain Jim, between spasms,
"when it would be a sin not to laugh. Them two excellent women!" Who is Mandy?? Who is Susan?? Why is her death funny??

I don’t like when they’re talking about Leslie’s troubles abd they bring it back to theirs. Literally WHAT are you talking about 🫩
