The suffering that really hits me is the one of the dragons.
And it brings up the same thought I had reading the first book: I'm not crazy about how egg stealing is painted. Our mcs love their dragons and their bonds are real and beautiful, but still… it’s literally stealing babies from their mothers…
P.S. All I want from this series besides dragons health is Raeve, Kaan and Kyzari being together.

Full disclosure: I enjoyed the first book but I'm not that attached to it, so I don't know if this one will hit me emotionally as much as it did for many (Crystal Bloom series grips me more, to when book 4!?). But I hope to enjoy it same as I did book one.

P.S. I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a duology at first, I didn't dream it right?
