Much different from the Netflix show. So different, yet familiar, I know I can enjoy both of these independent from each other. The cop is the same in both, though, so that’s fun. The book is much more “hard” scifi and totally in China (so far as I’ve read). The footnotes for the edition I’m reading are a nice clarifier for history and context.
