It's taking so long for the plot to happen. So many side characters are being introduced that I couldn't care less for.

Adding on to the last note: "The old racists and regressives got together and stabbed Harriet in the back. I'll never forget that call I got from her. I've been rolled over. Crushed." Can all the plots laid in the previous books stopped being overturned? What is going on.

"It's not easy for an actress to grow older - the public don't love you anymore", followed by "she realised she failed her life's most important mission: motherhood", so gross

I'm going to consider all books past the third as non-canonical. I'm hardly in the book yet, and I already hate the mischaracterisation of Mikael. Why is he so moody and miserable all of a sudden? No mentions of Monica, 55 pages in, and that whole song and dance of Lisbeth and Mikael being friendly again in book 3 just to not speak for years in book 4. Insane.
