Just read "The Loving". Here, Rupi reflects on love (both familial and romantic) and sexual desires. Rupi's becoming her own independent woman who follows what she wants, not what her tradition tells her to follow. Good on her. She deserves better than what a misogynistic tradition expects of her.

Here, Rupi reflects on a toxic relationship with a man who only admired her body, the breakup, and the aftermath for both parties: Rupi's grief and eventual moving-on from the breakup, and the man's feelings of unsatisfaction after the fact. Way to be strong, Rupi! And as for Mr. Selfish, screw you! You deserve to never be satisfied!

Just started reading the book and read "The Hurting". Rupi talks a lot about how South Asian women are sexually abused and just expected to take it. It's really disgusting. And her father was an alcoholic who wasn't there for her. What a piece of shit.
