as the book progresses the writing becomes increasingly descriptive; evidence to basic explanation to another quotation to another explanation. a lot of words that manages to say little.
in trying to comment on the demonisation of the working class as the chav caricature he condemns them to the same title. using chav and working class as interchangeable doesn’t work as a piece of criticism like intended

Why is it down to the victims of white working-class’s misdirected anger to understand and allow that behaviour? It isn’t “liberal bigotry” but rather an understandable reaction to years and years of racist riots, exclusion and oppression.

the later section regarding thatcher really makes me want to research more on her and her policies that destroyed the lifes of so many people of the “underclass”
