I feel so bad for Violetpaw. She deserves to feel loved and wanted, and seeing Darktail and Needletail and the rogues weaponize love and kinship in order to manipulate her into staying in an unsafe situation breaks my heart. She's basically a pre-teen in Warrior cats ages, and she's been set up to fail from day one. Someone give this girl a hug and get her away from toxic violent men (and Needletail)!!

I've actually liked the pacing of AVoS, but the problem is that this book feels like a pretty good ending...yet there are still 3 more books in the arc. I really think they need to stop requiring a full 6 books per arc and instead write as few books as it takes to tell a good, tight story. I fear how much they are going to stretch out the story in the next 3 books...
