Chpt 3 "In Volcanic Glass Tunnels" - One must respect Heyerdahl's dedication to his archeological mission. He recounts his explorations of the subterranean cave systems & dwellings of the island, which required passing through stone tunnels so narrow that one could only worm through with their arms stretched above them. Caverns used during cannibalistic civil wars, filled with human remains & artifacts. Neat!
