wow. a lot here. song about a son who lost contact with a parent due to divorce at age six. the connection to a prior song. bad patterns. “try to step outside the shadow of your great catastrophe / dream all night of freedom / never wake up free” <— the last line in particular evoking never quite free to me. wow.
