Was 90% right. Correct theory--wrong catalyst.

Have a better theory--book might get a 2nd star if it does this as the twist.

Other theory--have to be written back into existence. Doesn't really solve the staying beyond two weeks, but there are theories for that, too.

The tone of this is all over the place, the pacing is all over the place, the absurdity is all over the place--and I just don't like the characters.

Do they disappear from books because they become real people, if they're out too long...
