Beautiful + sad
Beautiful that they started w/a sense of the sacred
Sad partly bc they took such an acrimonious/violent persp on the indigenous peoples that were there once they ran into conflict (+angering) + sad bc they lost all sense of the sacred of nature + it became the sacred of human manipulation for short term purposes
Wish she had discussed anything abt the indigenous nations + their history w/the lake
