i changed my mind—this will be my summer vacation book (along with finishing last night a dj saved my life)
i have been wanting to read this for a long time, and i have been working heavily (teaching beat making summer camps and graduating my first djing student to the next level of lessons) as a music teacher, so no better way to spend my summer than working on personal projects (including reading this book)

the writing style is so uniquely delicate and i’m so glad i wasn’t raised with illiteracy because i think it’s so fun that i’m able to enjoy 3rd person narration-

shocked that this book is in 3rd person but i weirdly like it
it gives me more of an insight in erika and her mother’s psyches that the film does not
