That's genius! It would totally break the contract. Will he do it, though?

"But Ethan, I can't stay here indefinitely."
"Don't you have to watch over me until I lose my virginity?"

"I suppose that's true," Mal allowed.

...20 years later: They're still sitting on that sofa, drinking coffee. ;-))

"Our deal is that… um…" Damn it, how could Ethan say this with a straight face? "He gets my soul if I lose my virginity to the man I love."

Noah stared at him. "That's what you sold your soul for? Sex?"

"Not sex! The sex isn't the important part!"
Noah continued to stare at him, and Ethan couldn't blame him.

Hmm, interesting. So far, Mel doesn't realize that he could make Ethan fulfill his contract by being the man Ethan loses his virginity to. Or does "man" mean it must be a human? Right now, Ethan is willing to serve his soul on a silver platter if Mel jumps into bed with him.

As a romance, I find this book pretty mediocre, but the supernatural aspects are very well done. It reminds me a lot of the universe of Beetlejuice, just that our demon Mel is a rather sexy hunky demon. The bureaucracy of hell is very Tim Burton here, though. I love it.
