The Meredith dream shit was dumb the whole time. Telling Ethan that she used to dream about Cayden picking her up like that is not the romantic gesture the author seems to think. In other words, she's telling him that she used to dream about another man doing that to her. Who wants to hear that?! Lmao
Anyways, yeah, this was shit. Fun little diversion I guess, but shit.

Oh god, that fourth wall breaking joke about Ethan writing Bikini Days was so cringey. It also doesn't make much sense, seeing as these books have multiple PoVs... is he really going to write chapters from the girls' perspectives? I find that hard to believe. It would be insanely weird for someone to do that about people they actually know...

Turns out the guy who wanted to marry the sister and the guy who was harassing Meredith at work is the same guy. What a shock. He tries to aggressively force his way into Ethan's house, causing the police to arrest him. The antagonist(s) in this series all act the same. They are so ridiculously in the wrong that there is no redeeming quality to them. The protagonists are always unambiguously correct. Zero nuance ever

This subplot about Lexie's younger sister being forced to marry some guy by her parents makes absolutely no goddamn sense. She's a rich white girl from a rich white family in California. There's no way in hell they would arrange a marriage. Not only that, but she's an adult (because he didn't want to get in trouble by writing about an underage girl). There is nothing that could force her to go through with this.

This series is about a middle-aged guy getting to have threesomes with two hot younger women. With that in mind, it is utterly insane that he chose to have an entire chapter from the PoV of the protagonist's adult daughter essentially on a date with a dude. I know this is leading to Meredith joining the harem/throuple/whatever, but what a fucking weird and dumbass way to go about this.

LMAO. The group comes across a beautiful nature area, and one of the girls' first reaction is "oh my god it's so beautiful, it looks like AI." HAHAHAHA. No 20-something year old woman on the planet would ever have a reaction like that. It's very obvious that this author is one of those AI evangelist weirdos.
There was a whole section dedicated to Meredith's dumb fantasy part-of-a-harem dream. This shit is so cringe

This is the 2nd book where they go on a vacation and the author makes sure to note how much all the people around them are staring and trying to figure out the relationship between Ethan and the girls. It's clearly a fetish of the author's. To me, it comes off as being rather douchey. No one cares about you that much, you're just self-centered.

Having conversations via texting is realistic for a contemporary setting, but it's also a thinly veiled excuse for more padding. It gives him justification for writing a bunch of sentence fragments with line breaks between every one. Feels like there's been at least one text convo per chapter that has taken up multiple pages. They're not long, but they have the appearance of being longer due to all the line breaks

There has already been 3 separate, relatively lengthy passages of Ethan's work bullshit. I literally just skip over them, because it serves zero fucking purpose. It has nothing to do with the relationship between the 3 characters, which is the entire point of this series. It's truly nothing but padding. It might be the most egregious example of blatant padding that I've seen in any porn book.

One of Ethan's co-workers (who happens to be friends with his daughter) has vivid dreams about being in a harem. Not having a harem of her own, but being in a man's harem. And she loves it. Lmao. Obviously this is a precursor to her becoming a love interest. Just when I thought this series couldn't possibly get more cringe, it does.
