New York City, 1967-Sarah Schuman 3 This is only gay because her fat friend dies of AIDS and she thinks about wearing a paint suit as a writer. LOL why was this in here?
Cottonmouth-Ella Boureau I can't in good conscience rate this (but deep down I wanna give it a 5 for being crazy). Kissing cousins in the Mississippi woods leads to a cottonmouth getting in a coochy and then suffocating in said coochy due to orgasms.

Sassy Sarah Reads
Sassy Sarah Reads is finished
Catacomb Voice- Octavia C. Saenz 2 stars I didn't like the voice in this one and I appreicate the risks, but I am not a fan.
The Perfect Pair- Dora Rossetti 4 stars I need to read Her Lover ASAP!
In Asbestos- Rose Jeanou 3 stars I need the author to commit to the implications. This heroine is too stupid to pick up on the hints left behind.
Honestly- Sarah Foncesca 1 star What a terrible way to end this collection.

Notes in a Minor Key- Shamim Sarif 3 stars Fell flat and I wished there was a lot more payoff.
Rookie Mistake- Grace Byron 3.5 stars This one was decently hot, and the plot was entertaining enough.
pH- Trae Higgs 4 stars HOLY SHIT! That was HOT HOT!
Diana Thornton- Eve Adams 2 stars Only 1.5 pages? Need more.
Pale Horse- Alex Clarke 4.5 This is my favorite in the collection. It's hot, gritty, angry, and resentful.

Chanson du Konallis- Emily Jones- 1 star I originally thought these were racist rich white people in Paris, but now I'm questioning if they were not white due to the author being the lady who wrote A Raisin in the Sun. Still hated it though.
Rebound- M.J. Corey 2.5 stars This could've been hot. I need lesbian writers to commit. You don't have to snakes in vaginas like Cottonmouth, but I need some damn description.

Natalie- Alice Dunbar-Nelson 4 stars A story set in Louisiana will always get me. A story about the complexities of Cajun and Creole identities in a Jim Crow South is even more interesting. Very Kate Chopin in themes, but with more focus on race and class.
Girl in the Slayer Jacket- Astrid Anne Rose 3.5 stars I would say this one way kinda hot, but this character is so down bad that she committed arson for her.

Revenge of the Roadkill Bodysnatchers- Rose Jeanou 3 stars The concept of a lesbian group who leaves dead animals in rapists' homes is amazing, but it got weird by the end. Kinda hot, but also way too guilt-ridden for me.
Palm Desert- Anna Dorn 1.5 stars HUH? HUH? HUH? This was so damn confusing to me.
A Parlor Game by L.J. Webb- 1 star Apparently, there are only 2 copies available of this book, and this was so dry.

Smoke and Sea Breeze- Lillian James 2 stars For a story about lesbians, this was very man-centered. The plotting was messy, and this was not hot (which is what I am looking for in a pulp). There should be grit, tension, and eroticism that you can't look away from.
Jouissance- Nadine Santoro- 4 stars Toxic high school bullies meet up again as adults, YES PLEASE. Now this was some hotness and tension with eroticism.
