hummm... holy fucking shit??? this is insane????? did not expect a full out war novel. incredible

maybe it's bc I've had a low-level headache for the last two days, but this book feels so dense (complimentary). i loved the way gu yun dealt the feeling situations; diplomatic king. these two are very cute rn tbh. I've seen some spoilers of their vibe later on and I'm SO curious to see how they get there.

pre-read: couldn't find other books i had more interest in reading (drowning sorrows 2, mo du 3, etc), so i decided to give this series another shot. volume 1 was a whatever read for me, but maybe it gets better?? here's to hoping. I've got two other non-fiction, extremely heavy books going on, i need some age-gap problematic gay romance to balance things out.
