I reach out with my left hand to open the glass shower door. But instead of connecting with the metal handle silently, my hand connects with a clink.
I jerk my hand back and look at my palm.
The lights are low in here, but there’s no missing the thick gold band visible on the underside of my ring finger.
I stare at it.
For three breaths, I stare at the bottom of the ring.
The ring on my wedding finger.
