The story is picking up a bit. I do not care for Maureen's best friends. Especially Sally. Maureen is trying to better herself, strengthen herself, and not let others walk all over her but that seems to be all that Sally does. She's very rude and pushy. I'm enjoying Stephen. He's grumpy but with good reason.

Oh boy! Maureen is a bit annoying. She's extremely naive, very low self esteem and a bit.... flighty? All over the place? Emotional? I haven't read the first book and that may have helped with the other characters as well. Multiple characters to follow.
