Listen I do not buy this love story. I don't care about any of it. Why is the dialogue so awful? Why is this book "classic"? It's categorically terrible.

We hates it. We hates Hemingway, but it's for the library summer reading bingo. My daughter said "can't you just lie?". But no. I am incapable of lying about my reading logs and I'm incapable of DNF-ing even if it's terrible. I'm sorry. I do not understand why we are such big fans of Hemingway and Faulkner.
