OMG CINDY!!!!!!! this book just screams “written by a story lover”. it’s so captivating from the first page. these characters and the world is so real and tangible. AMAZING writing. as someone who struggles with reading comprehension, it is such a relief to understand everything going on and feel like i can make predictions and become invested. i’m so excited by this book. yay cindy! yay stories!

SPOILERS: “corin didn’t know any other way to continue existing without harming herself. she didn’t know how it was possible to keep living without suffering too.” at this point in the book i found myself bogged down by the cycle of gore and sinking to the depths wanting to stop existing and then relief and lightness only for it to happen again. and then i realized how much i resonated with that. i feel this.

i’m so enthralled and entranced and captivated by this book. i’m so into the characters and their motivations and feelings. the queer representation is so effortless. it’s beautiful really. i want to live in this story forever. this is a beautiful beautiful book. 😌😌
