The reviews saying it's "too academic for a book about making academia more accessible" kinda miss the point. I don't think Freire is calling for education to be accessible in the sense of simplifying it; rather for education to be led by ideas of the oppressed, & oppressed peoples are also capable of complexity! Conflating accessibility with simplicity is woefully anti-intellectual. Idk I'm only on the 3rd chapter.
