Am I the only one who’s rarely/never seriously attracted to characters in books? Like I sometimes find certain traits of a character attractive or can see the general appeal but I’m not a book boyfriend person at all honestly.

Honestly same. I feel like, Maxon Schevere for example, is so sweet to America and I genuinely want that kind of love and a proposal from The One. I never really thought of book boyfriends but I guess it’s just a saying?

I kind of get what you mean but I think it’s also a difference between imagining yourself as a spectator vs. imagining yourself as the main character. Especially the latter kind of people often use the term literally I think.

reall like yes they are fine and hot but i love them FOR their love interest in the book, not me. i don’t want them, but i love reading about them with their love interest yk??
I view myself as a spectator I could NEVER imagine myself as the main character 💔 a lot of book boyfriends are copy and pastes with no personalities so I dont feel attracted to a lot of them but I do make a few exceptions for the once who're actually interesting 😭 I js call them my fav mmc tho not my fav book boyfriend.
