This is a very interesting read. I just finished Part 1: The New Woman. It shows the rebellion against and systematic breakdown of the traditional understanding of woman from the late 18th century to the early 20th century. Feminism grew up alongside many ideologies that all intersected at certain points, like communism, modernism, and liberalism, and this book makes me want to learn more about them all.
