Infiltrating Windham 1 and 2 were really good! I’m so scared to see what Griffith looks like now! He was kept in the dark intentionally. And the little POV we got of him at the start of Infiltrating Windham 1 was great! It explains his dream but shed a light into his relationship with Guts and how he sees him. It’s so interesting. Princess Charlotte being their source of information from the inside was insane!

This volume was relentless! And Kentaro Miura does so much with shadows and gazes it’s crazy! It’s so good. The action is top tier, in this volume in particular! It’s getting darker and more disturbing as we continue. I’m really enjoying this story and I can’t wait to continue reading!

Who are the Black Dogs? And Wyald? Why the hell does he look like this? Ew. I’m traumatized from the last scene. What the hell is his business with Griffith? I hate the King so much Princess Charlotte needs to kill him. That was some quick thinking back there by Pippin (and Griffith) every member of the hawks (besides Corkus I guess) is really good! I love them so much.

Guts is furious now! I can’t wait to see what he does! It was sweet of him to wrap his cloak around Griffith and put the helmet back on. I hate how things are going to go really bad.

It also looks like his hair was cut too. I’m losing it. When Griffith moved his hand and touched Guts neck…did he choose him for sacrifice? He got the crazy look in his eyes. And was surprised when Guts hugged him. And sad (and almost regretful?) when Guts started crying. I’m scared. But I understand. I think. I’d want to live too after this.

I’ve got goosebumps! (yet again!) seeing Griffith like this is horrifying. I’ve felt this dread rising from the pit of my stomach as they were learning the extent of his injuries. The tendons in his arms and legs were cut, his tongue too (what the torturer did with it was disturbing) and flayed many parts of his body. I’m guessing his face is flayed too, that’s why the helmet is locked onto his head now.
