Just finished the section on women's pain being less likely to be taken seriously and treated and more likely to be treated with an antidepressant prescription, depressing

The section on gender gaps in medical research and pharmaceuticals has lead me to suspect that our anti-inflammatory dry eye medications are probably not specifically tested on women or the results analysed by gender, even though we know that women experience dry eyes and particularly severe inflammatory dry eye at a much higher rate than men. I will look into it.

Ideal paid parental leave:
- 7-12 months at full pay
- full super contributions for this time
- 'use it or lose it' leave available at full pay for secondary carers so fathers actually take it and get to spend time with their children + become proficient carers
