I’m already an atheist, but this book really drives it home how awful religion is when sexual predators are constantly protected by the church who is only worried about their reputation

I can’t help but laugh at this:
‘Jesus Christ,’ I said, sitting back, a hand to my forehead in astonishment.
‘Not him, no. The next rung down.’

In all seriousness, it’s no wonder the church moves around pedophiles only to have to move them again because they’re pedophiles.

Just the fascist Republikkkan party in charge of destroying the US

Religion always has an undertone of pedophiles and protecting predators. Oh wait, that also applies to Republicans

Michelle i think it’s because laws protecting people from abuse are related new. it’s really weird that some people are in such a hurry to roll them back. they want to reserve the right to be cruel to some other—for the women and children!!!

Jess I agree. The laws protecting the abused are relatively new and they’re also in such a hurry to roll them back. It’s insane the level of cruelty toward women and children that is so rampant in the current state of terror that we’re enduring!

Michelle I can’t post a link to another site here, but Tulane University has a Timeline of the History of Sexual Violence in the U.S.. this is why “woke academia” is so dangerous and triggering for them. let me stop before i go off.

Jess Thank you for sharing. I’ll have to look that up. Yeah. Don’t get me started on them calling academia “woke,” as they undermine graduate degrees held predominantly by women. The people who call us snowflakes, are in fact the biggest snowflakes.
