This is such a delightfully delicious book to read during crowded Mumbai local train journeys as I find it now. Pronoti traces the origins of gourmet food and french cuisine and also includes the 1947 Independence Day menu from The Taj. Fascinating to know of the humble Koli masala ingredients, the pathare prabhu fish fused baked delicacies and the many food twists added by the Bene Israelis.
