1. I knew about the diaper thing but I was still not prepared for the diaper thing

In my head the hormonal implant like either just convinced your body to produce the hormones that you want or acted as an additional organ producing hormones from your own body's cholesterol itself and I don't know what to do with the much dumber setup that it's just a receptile that holds hormones and has to be refilled

I think we gotta ban authors from using the word petrichor at this point

The other problem with the constant baby related pacing interruptions is that now in an action filled scene where stuff is happening where I should be just going with the story I'm instead bracing myself for the inevitable frustrating interruption

The thing is, if you removed all the baby stuff from the story

Basically nothing would change

And that's what makes the baby stuff so annoying
