What is this book?! ATP, I almost feel like it's ragebait in publication format. Someone said that it's "allegorical fiction," but it honestly just comes across a book that has no idea of what it wants to be. While I think that might be perfectly fine for the author, it absolutely sucks for the reader.

It's kind of sad that the glimpses of good storytelling are lost within all of the other things going on here.

Now I'm just pissed off and here's the thing, Miss Shopkeeper has been hinting at physical trauma up til this point. HOWEVER, to out of nowhere thrust this uncomfortable family situation on me like this is borderline unforgiveable. Such a hard left turn.

Although I'm still very interested in the outcome of our main character's journey for intimacy and opening her shop, I'm not really digging the writing/style of storytelling as much as I'd hoped to.
