There is an interview here with GRRM from 2019 and he says "But first I have to finish this book The Winds of Winter ... I have to finish that and then I can write another Dunk and Egg story. And then I write A Dream of Spring. And then I write another Dunk and Egg story. At some point in there I have to write the second part of Fire & Blood, so I have my work cut out for me. Season 2: ~ up to p. 475
Season 3:
- Ep. 1: up to page 479 "If this be victory, I pray I never win another."
- Ep. 2: up to p. 491 - significant changes to the story

- Alicent is nine years older than Rhaenyra -> it was more a stepmother/daughter relationship than friends. Also they almost have no interactions.
- Rhaena's story changed completely
- even more sons and dragonriders that are left out in the show

"... shedding her maiden's blood upon the sword of his manhood" geez!

Now I reached the timeline of House of the Dragon - Rhaenyra is born. Let's see how truthful the show is to the source material.

Nevermind me reading too many books at once again. As the next season of House of the Dragon airs soon, I just had to start it and this history is going to take a while to read. Love the illustrations.
