This book dives way more into religious history than I thought. You wouldn’t know it by the introduction (which lays out an entirely different concept of focus) but I’m starting to gather that it’s the whole thesis here.

The past two chapters were ~tough~ to get through; a lot more on women in religion in the Middle Ages than I ever anticipated

Started this a year and a half ago, so I’m starting over. I heavily annotated the first 20 pages in attempt 1 of reading this, and not to sound like a pretentious prick, but what an elevation to the reading experience truly. Like omg I’m so smart.
