“If it’s a frog to you, then it’s a frog to me.” This is adorable. For context, Jet & Billy are stargazing. Jet points at a group if stars and says it looks like a frog. She loves frogs btw. Aside from the quote, the fact that Billy is only staying in Woodstock bc he doesn’t want to leave Jet made me so so sad.

“‘Actually, I was looking at the stars. People do that too, huh? No reason. Nice to look at.’
‘Yeah,’ Billy said, but he wasn’t looking at the stars, he was looking at her.” OH POOR SWEET BILLY. I hate that he’s falling for a dead girl walking. I’m not prepared for when Jet dies. This is NOT good. Do not recommend. Too heartbreaking.

He always had. Billy was nine months older than her. Jet didn’t know a world he didn’t exist in.” I like Billy already, but I have a feeling he might be Jet’s murderer. He might’ve done it bc he wanted to get closer to her and didn’t mean to hit her hard enough to be fatal. Now, he’s just leading her closer and closer to finding out it was him, like Lacey Locke.

It’s hilarious how Holly Jackson tries to portray Jet as the cool, careless, and lazy Gen-Z character, but it falls short because Holly Jackson is 42 (I believe). Jackson is in fact a millennial. Like yes, I love the reference to Malcolm Todd, but can we calm down on the unnecessary cursing and random interruptions? It feels so awkward.

Only eight pages in and I’m already fed up with Jet’s cursing problem. She uses “f*cking” as an adjective in every sentence.
