I take what I said back when the book was very very very slow. I think I have been bamboozled. What the fuck.

92 pages in and it has taken me so much to care about them as a couple. They live very different realities, yes. I guess I get the feeling of unease and unfamiliarity of everything going on that Miri takes as normal (from the very beginning) and it just collects as some suspense and silence as to what actually happened, if it did. But I find myself wanting to skip all this to get to The Happening, whatever it may be.
