LOL mmm both!! in the beginning of the book, he's an actual child (5 years old, then 10 years old, and then 16, and it progresses throughout the book). yeah he's a freak, but im feeling the vibe. it's gonna get better when he's an actual adult, though bc rn it's kinda weird yk... 🫣 just hearing how this child wants to hit people over the head with his bat he always carries is making me laugh

Yeah... That does feel weird. But, it sounds kinda interesting yk? Seeing how he became who he is now. I've never heard of this book or the series before. I might give this a try especially because my commitment levels to books rn is at all times low and this is 75 pages long. I think I can commit myself to 75 pages lol

yeah it’s super short but really interesting seeing this little psycho do things. the next books in the series are all around 200 pages so they’re relatively short as well!

yay! i hope you like them!! after being on an MM kick for a super long time, i felt like switching it up and reading an MF romance and lowkey it’s meh, but that’s only bc i favor MM romances. i guess i thought the darker the plot then the more it would make up for the fact that it’s not MM?? idk but i’m liking it so far!

I totally get you lol. I read BL Manhwa like on a daily basis when they release new chapters. There's nothing that hit me like a BL. I haven't read a lot of MM books. Actually I've read only 3 lol. And the other one's I've read are fanfics. Mainly of Kpop idols lol. I should read more MM books. But I also get major FOMO when I haven't read popular books. I only got back to reading after my graduation which was on 2024 and girl, there's a ton of books and I can only read around 60 - 70 books a year 😭 So, here I am, trying to read the books before their adaptations are released. Anyways, I totally get why you thought the darker the plot, the more you would like it 😂 Glad that it's working to a certain extent for both of us 😂❤️

theres this one book Hamartia and it's about a kpop star and an american rockstar or something?? (idk what it's about tbh, i haven't read it yet...) but you might like it since it's kpop!! MM and BL romances just hit so much harder for me and idk why. i guess since most of the time it's them discovering this truth about themselves and them learning to accept it, i just love the realization of "hey i might be gay" it's so sweet, and then there's a bunch of angst that follows the realization. happy belated graduation btw!! i also feel you with the FOMO, i have such a hard time with that... but i like to read "weird" books sometimes that are rarely on booktok so i'm just whatever about it sometimes.

ahhh thank you for the graduation wishes! And omg Hamartia sounds right up my alley. I just added it to my TBR and I'm also gonna have a field day in your reading lists if that's okay lmao. From where do you find them? Most of the things I read are ones I found from booktok or bookstagram. I feel like I should also try reading the random kindle recs that I get. And reddit. I'm in the RH sub and there's a lot of recs but I still haven't gotten to them thanks to my FOMO on popular books. It definitely sucks. And saying whatever to it is the way to go. I appreciate that skill of yours and I need it so badly 😭

Yess! Same here. I love the "oh... wait a minute" --> "Nah I'm not" --> "Might be only for him but we gonna be avoiding it" --> "F**k it, yeah, I'm totally gay" pipeline lol. I first found this in Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi anime and I've been obsessed ever since.

yeah ofc that's ok!! i read out of pocket things sometimes, just a heads up... most of the time i find them in the "enjoyed by others" or "recommended by your current reading" section. other times i'll find some random ones on tiktok or through kindle tbh. i've also used reddit too!! lowkey that's better for my "taboo" recs bc reddit is very loose with it's guidelines. i'm either very anal about things or completely nonchalant, and there's no middle ground, which is very weird, but i've always been like that, so i know how to work around it! have you seen the anime "the summer hikaru died" it's soooo good and like a mix between both of our interests!! i'm into the paranormal/supernatural horror mixed with mm romances (bc duh yk, it's me) but their story is so beautifully tragic. don't worry about the late replies!! we all have our own lives, so i completely get it! i'm sorry about the migraines though, i used to have wicked ones, so i understand. i've heard that a mcdonalds coke and their fries somehow help migraines go away. it may be a placebo thing or something to do with how salty it is, but it sometimes works!!
